Field Poll: Ballot measure to limit '3 strikes' sentencing supported broadly -- Nearly two-thirds of California voters favor a ballot measure that would amend the state's "three strikes" law to prohibit extended prison sentences for nonviolent crimes, according to a statewide Field Poll. Proposition 66 continues to enjoy widespread support among voters of all political ideologies in a poll of more than 1,100 likely voters that showed 65 percent favored the measure, while only 18 percent said they opposed it.
